The Wanaka Transport and Toy Museum collection boasts rare and unusual aircraft, cars, trucks, motorcycles, fire appliances, military vehicles and tractors, as well as a colourful array of automobilia.
A wonderful selection of more than 25,000 toys is awash with nostalgia, including, clockwork and battery powered toys, pedal cars, money boxes, teddy bears and porcelain dolls.
It is hard to single out exhibits but
a few to watch out for include:
A 1960 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, star of the Steven King movie The Graveyard Shift.
A Russian Mig-21 fighter and an Antonov AN-2, the world’s largest single-engined biplane.
 
The world’s last original 1915 Sunbeam
Rover Ambulance.
A 1924 McLaughlin Buick Limousine,
one of only four ever built.
More than 500 Barbies with a big range
of clothes and accessories.
An exciting Star Wars collection featuring
toys, figures and memorabilia.
The collection is being added to all the time and the owner has more than 100 vehicles awaiting restoration.
